Modelling for the Environmental Management Workshop

This two-day workshop will focus on water environment, specifically on surface water quality modelling. An important management decision pertaining to water quality control is to estimate the response of the receiving water due to effluent discharged into it and to assess optimal remediation alternatives. For this purpose, mathematical models based upon mass balance are developed and used. One such model is the Water Quality Analysis Simulation Program (WASP) developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA).
